Separation Anxiety
Separation anxiety in dogs is a condition where a dog becomes anxious or stressed when separated from their owner or primary caretaker. This can manifest in behaviors such as barking, whining, destructive chewing, digging, and attempting to escape. The dog may also exhibit signs of physical distress such as panting, trembling or drooling.
Separation anxiety is a common behavioral problem among dogs and can be caused by a variety of factors such as past traumatic experiences, lack of socialization, or changes in the dog’s routine. It can be treated with a combination of behavior modification techniques, training, and medication.
