Bearded Collie

The Bearded Collie is also known as Beardie and one of the oldest Britain breeds being popular in Scotland used mostly for herding.  The Beardie is medium sized and can be a variety of colors between white to black with a long shaggy coat that needs brushing every day and a clipping every other month.  They are often referred to as having the “Beardie Bounce” due to their high-spirited, cheerful and carefree disposition that goes well with children and other pets.  The Beardie’s friendly nature make them want to be around people so they don’t make them the best watchdog as they will want to play with anyone that comes around.  They are obedient and trainable in a variety of dog sports.
