Cancer Detection
Some dogs have a unique ability to detect certain types of cancer in humans, such as lung and breast cancer, through their sense of smell. This is because cancer cells release certain chemicals called volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that have a distinct smell.
Dogs have an incredibly sensitive sense of smell, and are able to detect these VOCs at very low concentrations. Studies have shown that dogs can be trained to detect cancer with a high degree of accuracy, and they have been used in research to develop new diagnostic tools for cancer.
