Reverse Sneezing
Some dogs can develop a condition called “reverse sneezing” which is caused by irritation of the soft palate and can sound like honking or snorting. This condition is not harmful and usually goes away on its own, but it can be scary for both the dog and the owner.
Reverse sneezing can be triggered by various factors such as a foreign object in the nose, allergies, or a respiratory infection. In most cases, it is a harmless condition but in rare cases it can be caused by more serious underlying health issues such as a tumor.
